abstract = "The increasing quuantity of saw mill by-products will be utilised as fuel for heat and power production all over the Europe. It has also ment that the portions formerly rejected will be utilised. Consequently, boilers and feeding systems have to be developed suitable for fuels and mixtures having poor flowing and combustion properties. Normally boiler manufacturers have tested combustion properties like ash content and its behaviour very carefully. The lower emphasis has been put on the handling properties of fuels. To meet the comprehensive demand of usability W{\"a}rtsil{\"a} Biopower has realised a full-scale test rig for combustion and fuel feeding, which has been tested and developed in the co-operation with VTT Processes.",
