Abstract
CIM technologies are not mature technologies, and therefore technological factors will still influence the application possibilities of CIM as well as the efficiency and performance of manufacturing technologies. Electronics and information technologies have been and will be one of the technological driving forces of manufacturing change. This paper analyzes the impact of future trends in electronics and information technologies on the technological efficiency and the cost of different CIM technologies and their applications.
