Abstract

The main purpose of this work is to determine more precisely the influence of the contaminants on the proper growth of the phosphate layer on the steel surface and to evaluate influence of a porous phosphate layer on the corrosion resistance of painted steel. The studied contaminants are carbonization, rust spots, residuals of deep drawing oils and surface defects based on steel manufacture.
