Abstract
To elucidate effects of Condebelt drying on the surface properties and printability of the board, an extensive experimental study was conducted. Two reference boards, Pankakoski cylinder dried testliner and a Scandinavian kraftliner, were tested. Results suggest that, compared with cylinder drying, Condebelt-drying gives a special property combination which results in significantly improved printability.
