    Abstract

    The purpose of this paper is to describe a practical example of a company striving for changes in customer-supplier relationships through the development of new services for companies operating in different positions within the value chain. The business and service development of the studied case company is motivated by competition and technological innovation within the package design and printing business. The paper describes the structure of a value chain and the new services that the studied case company plans to deliver, and it discusses the possibilities and challenges the case company may face along the process.
