Abstract
Novice car drivers, especially young men, are
over-represented in road accident statistics. New ways
are needed to reduce their risks, and there is a need to
motivate young drivers towards responsible
driving. In this paper, we outline the preliminary
results of the Trafisafe field trial, in which a new
driving style feedback system was tested with 75 novice
drivers and their parents. The preliminary
results show promising results and the test users have
clearly indicated an interest in the feedback
service and the Trafisafe concept.
