Abstract
In this paper we present a model to estimate transaction
costs in a network of subcontractors and their customers
in metal industry. The research questions are: 1) with
what kind of a tool could the transaction costs be
measured in a network and what is the level of
transaction costs (TCs) in metal industry in Finland 2)
what factors have a significant effect on TCs in a
network, and 3) can TCs be divided into positive, neutral
and negative costs.
