Abstract
Markets are dynamic and consist of multiple market actors
with specialized resources (e.g., knowledge). The aim of
this paper is to increase the understanding on market
dynamics through the notion of resource integration among
market actors. We are especially interested in how market
actors shape (stabilize and destabilize) market(s)
through integrating resources. Through narrative
interview data on two actors in an industrial engineering
service industry, we present the early findings that show
the boundary-spanning roles of actors in co-creating
value through integrating resources with each other and
other actors, and this way, shaping the market. We focus
on the tales that the actors tell about themselves, their
activities and resources in the market, in interaction
with other actors.
