Abstract

Zone and field model codes are used for fire simulations, including nuclear facilities, in Finland. Here two examples are described: (a) calculation of evaporation rate of a pool fire (8 MW) in a compartment using FIRST, and calculation of an oil spill fire (180 MW) in a turbine hall using PHOENICS.
