Abstract
One-third of the power generation capacity in Europe is more than 30 years old. The new replacement capacity requirement has been estimated to be 550 GW by 2030.
Modernisation of current power generation capacity can contribute to this requirement by increasing efficiency while simultaneously improving operational efficiency.
VTT has implemented a Key Technology Action (KTA) to address the technical concerns relating to these objectives.
