Abstract
"Well-being through construction 2003" is a continuation
of the publication series on the Finnish construction and
real estate sector - as a producer of societal well-being
and the conditions required by productive activity, as a
significant business and employer, and as an
international actor.
The real-estate and construction sector builds, operates,
maintains and renovates our residential, workplace and
leisure buildings. This report focuses on changes that
have occurred and future challenges.
The "Well-being through construction" series has been
produced by the Confederation of Finnish Construction
Industries RT, WoodFocus, the Finnish Road
Administration, the Ministry of the Environment and VTT
Building and
Transport in Tampere. The realisation of the publication
has been the responsibility of VTT's Construction
Business
Intelligence Group in Tampere, Finland. The report has
been edited by Senior Research Scientist Terttu Vainio
and
the graphics and layout are by Sisko Mäensivu. Several
other researchers at VTT Building and Transport have
contributed their expertise to the work. The undersigned
have served in the project steering group.
