Wireless measurement systems in structural health monitoring applications

Research output: Contribution to conferenceConference articleScientific

    Abstract

In this paper, we present two professional applications where wireless monitoring technologies are applied: monitoring of the vibrations affected by traffic and harmless vibrations induced in pile driving. Goal of these applications has been to demonstrate the suitability of modern wireless into challenging professional applications where measurement requirements meet the high frequencies. Both cases include measurement technology development and tests in actual worksite. Results are very promising and developed technology can be applied also to other applications where heavy computation and high frequency measurement is required.
